Will you buy XCOM 2?
Well, there are the old Fallouts. Though in Fallout 1 and 2 you only control your main character, and everyone else in your party acts based on instructions you give them before the fight, so it's a bit different than most turn-based combat games. Fallout Tactics is more like the games you described.
There's Blackguards, which I haven't played yet, but it seems fun. And hard as fuck.
There's Hard West, which isn't released yet, but I'm keeping an eye on it. It has lots of potential.
That's all I got for now

Yeah it looks really cool. I watched a gameplay video, and saw that you can make your bullets ricochet off metallic objects to shoot around corners, and was immediately sold. Also it has, like, demons and supernatural stuff which is quite unique for an old west setting

I've really just recently gotten into turn based strategy. besides Xcom and Shadowrun returns, all I can suggest is the other Shadowruns (Dragonfall and HK).

Unfortunately I can't help with that. I've yet to complete Dragonfall or HK and I haven't played Returns so I'm not sure on the time comparison. Accorting to howlong to beat, they are about twice as long.
Returns
Dragonfall
Hong Kong

I will probably do, but no pre-ordering. I'll wait for the game to be released and possibly on sale.

What about the original UFO Defense? Has everything the new XCOM has + more. Multiple bases, alien bases to attack, aliens attacking your base if they manage to find it. You even are allowed to shoot at something other than aliens, like anywhere you want to. (and there is Terror from the Deep if you want more of the same)
Or maybe Jagged Alliance?
And I guess I will end up with XCOM 2 eventually. I just can't resist XCOM :)

Dungeons of Dredmor is pretty neat for every turn based-stuff lover out there (I guess).

Expeditions: conquistador is a decent game.
Someone mentioned Blackguards already - great TBS, really.
Drakensang and sequels
Neverwinter nights (which is not on steam anymore)
HoMM series
Elven Legacy and it's prequel, Fantasy Wars
Legends of Eisenwald - I haven't played it, but I have it on my wishlist.
Eador, of course.

I've just decided: I will preorder boxed version of XCOM 2. And since month passed when I did my last giveaway, I had few luck streaks and not given anything, I felt bad and made a little something here, for You awesome guys :) Im not building any whitelist yet, but know this, that day will come, just not now (although few people are already on it). Now, not to spam discussions with another poll'n'giveaway, could You recommend me good turn based strategic games like Xenonauts, Shadowrun Returns and Wasteland 2 (or just less known games You liked)? Sorry if I have made mistakes somewhere :P
