Has anyone here completed it? The final episode came out yesterday, and I just completed it and I am stunned. It's an amazing game and I'm glad I got it. I recommend getting it if you like the Telltale games. It's filled with humor, emotional and simply amazing moments. I can't recommend it enough.

I'm interested in everyone else's opinions on it if you've played it.

Cheers! :D

Best Telltale series ever. It has everything.
And the best part? It ends with a great First Aid Kit song.

The songs at the starts of episodes, at the ends and at the very end are so amazing!

Yeah, the intros are really well-made as well. They obviously took their time to polish TftB. Unlike the other games, especially Game of Thrones.

I have a Telltale key for the game, do you know if it is messy or any sort of online DRM to play this version of the game? I'm not sure if I should redeem it.

I don't know, to be honest. But I would recommend you with all my heart to play it, especially if you like their other games. However, the difference between this and for example, The Walking Dead, is that this one is a lot less serious and has a lot of funny moments. Really, a game worth playing in my opinion, and totally worth what I paid for it.

TL;DR: Activate if you like their games in general.

EDIT: I'm also pretty sure they don't have a messy online DRM or whatever, since I wasn't bombarded with third party log ins or anything playing it. It's optional to log in, but you don't really need to.

HMMM, I'll look into that, games where "choices matter" are nice IMO, but I HATE obtrusive DRM.
I might as well wait for the next steam sale, that +1, it makes me feel empowered.

Higgers just responded saying the drm is very unmessy without an installer client or anything like that. I suggest you activate it. :P Or if you really want it on Steam, then wait.

Very unmessy drm. You just add the key to your account and then download. No installer client or anything like that

Completed it last night, it was pretty excellent, great writing by Telltale... I must say the story took some pretty unexpected turns. Hopefully they do a 2nd season. The Borderlands world has so much potential for interesting and colourful storytelling, yet the main games are more concerned with grinding and loot :\

Just wondering if you played the Borderlands series before playing this? If you haven't did you understand the lore or think you followed it enough and if you have then do you think it matters? I own the first borderlands and still haven't really touched it yet, but telltale games are just so awesome that I'm dying to play :D

There are a bunch of references and of course spoilers for the games, but I think you can totally enjoy this game without knowing anything about the borderlands world. Just, keep an open mind eh? Be prepared to be a little confused about everything, and just accept it as crazy. Before long, you'll fall in love with the characters (who, for the most part, are brand new) and it will barely matter what world they're in.

I've played (and completed) the original Borderlands about 4 years ago. I know the basics about the lore and what not, but it's not really that important. You can enjoy it without playing the BL games.

It was very very good. Rhysha for life. <3

It gets sad at points yeah, but nothing compared to Life is Strange. Just finished those two pretty close together, and man I am so emotionally drained.

I completed the first episode of Life is Strange and wasn't very happy about it. I hear it gets a lot better. I'll play it sometime soon.

I have to finish Walking Dead before I can re-download Tales from the Borderlands and play the last chapter.

Will still take some time for me Q__Q

You haven't completed TWD? Then you are in for a treat. I'm thinking of playing it again. :D

I currently don't have time to play because I'm running a story-based event.
Takes a lot of time to plan and execute it ^^

And there's some other real life stuff that's really bringing me down right now ._.

Really looking forward to starting up TWD again!

Find my "secret" sign-up thread? :D

I hope they stopped it with the Sasha/Rhys wanna-be-romance.
That really was not my cup of tea at all :x

Thanks for the reminder.
Imo the best Telltale game after the first Walking Dead.

Still need to continue GoT, and though I'm a big fan of the books (and now the series as well) I just cant really enjoy the game. I had kinda the same problem with Wolf Among Us, in the end I finished it but never felt satisfied after finishing a chapter.

Yeah I have heard a lot of bad things about GoT but I got it, even though I watched only two episodes of the series. I'll lay it once I finish the series.

I actually finished all released chapters of GoT (won it here :D) and look forward to the last one coming out on Nov. 17.

Sure, there were a few boring parts, but overall it was quite interesting, and that's coming from someone who knows nothing about GoT but that there's a lot of deaths and smexy scenes.

My favourite is still Borderlands though :3

Well I heard the choices don't really matter and they're mostly boring politics, is this true?

Sadly there's only a few choices that seem to have any real influence on the story. I'm still hoping the choices I made will have a big impact on the last part >.<

One of your characters is the head of the Forresters and thus you'll have to take care of political matters, but you still get a bit of action with them. Then there's the character you play in King's Landing... almost no action and only political talk. And pretty much no matter what you do, you're bound to piss someone off. With yet another character it's mostly action and only a little bit of politcal talk.

It really depends on which character you're currently controlling, but in the end there's always politics, because you have to keep those in mind for the decisions you make.

It was the best TTG game I have ever played. It had everything I was expecting from a Borderlands game, and everything was really detailed. I have played The Wolf Among Us too, but I just can't find words to describe Tales from the Borderlands. I downloaded the update on Oct 20th, and stood up, until 1:32 the next day. Was it worth it? Hell yeah, and the songs in Episode 5 were awesome too. I didn't like Retrograde at start, but it was the best music for that part of the game. Oh and First Aid Kit's Silver Lining was awesome too. I hope they'll announce a Season 2 too.
