there was a dlc that counted towards badge card drops, maybe they forgot to set a flag or something

But if you get game or DLC from free Steam promotion they don't drop anything as far as I know.

yes, that one time was an exception, maybe a bug or something

Edit: my guess is that some DLC counted towards the purchase amount for cards

Even DLC are set as "disable trading cards" . But since F2P games drop cards based on in game purchase or DLC and the base game is not limited then this adds 9,75$ to your account. You need aprox 9$ for every card drop. Im on my 6th card for claiming free DLCs in the past.

Edit: Would this not be a "no cost" license and instead a "free on demand" license, then yes, this wouldnt have counted. But now it counts as a purchase.

Níng hǎi = 甯海, which means something like 'tranquil seas' or 'peaceful seas'. Funny name for a warship \o/

Also, I got 2 trading cards after activating this dlc
