First meal in Japan, ramen from 上々家. Also my dad's first ramen ever. Unfortunately, we picked a bad place - noodles were nice for certain, but that broth and the meat was exceptionally salty. That's what you get when you just go to the closest place to your airbnb without looking up anything :P

It could also be the tare or flavoring they use. Miso tends to be saltier than shoyu (soy sauce) or shio (salt). Hope you find a better ramen shop that also has a nice Ajitsuke tamago with your ramen
