Ze buying?
A few nice hints would be nice if Groupees dares to. :3

Most of the casual bundle games ended up solitaire games or 12 labours of hercules-like games, and I don't feel them different enough to get more of them, for one.
For two, I posted YEEEEEEEEES in MIlle's IG Artifex Mundi bundle, so I thought having a similarly dramatic no will be funny for her to see in the notifications :3
posting 80-90% because of second arguement ^^

Nothing says casual gaming like domestic violence!

raises hand in shame
I'm kind of glad I got the Housewife and Unity Flip Platformer #17 (there have been like 3 games that use those same assets that have been released this month) along with the game that will get greenlit now, but I would never pay more than pre-order price for these bundles.
And putting a game that tackles the concept of spousal abuse in a "Casual Gaming" bundle? Who's idiotic idea was that?
Edit: And they could have also added the Android version of Reed to go along with the Steam one.

As long as you're happy with what you get, that's what really counts in the end. ;) I tend to not preorder anymore unless there's a game I would be interested in playing that has been confirmed... because past blind buys with Groupees usually turned into disappointment for me. Also, my currency is $CDN, not $USD. If you factor in the crappy exchange rate, it's hard to not get the feeling that you've paid too much for what was in the bundle.

I don't know... they probably didn't think it could be perceived as tasteless. That, or they wanted to be edgy. O_o I mean, they bundled Hatred so why not a game about spousal abuse? ::sigh::
I just saw that you had more than 5k... so in your case, it's more like pre-hoardering, right? :D

Indeed, with my library the idea of getting games I don't already have is rare but I still manage to get 1-2 games a bunch from Groupees that's new (except for maybe the 50 bundles, but that's to be expected).
The Housewife... I'm usually okay with the Casual Bundle picks: they are games with more mass appeal like a Solitaire or a Mahjong. The Housewife is literally a game where it's impossible to play as the wife main character and not get beat by your husband because of the game's design.
Add to that the creepy feeling I get knowing that this game drops cards. I love cards. I'm level 243 so I will get this game's badge... but it's a weird game to have a badge for, you know?

I watched Jim Sterling's first impressions playthrough when it first came through. Knowing his own childhood history, he went into the game with a much different tone than his usual videos.
Then it turned out to be a crappy physics-based housecleaning game where you are pretty much set to fail every time so you can get beat up.
I agree, it's pretty disgusting that this is the means these "game developers" (AKA people who bought Unity stock assets) decided to take on this topic.

Having been raised in an abusive household myself, I was really interested in the game at first. I assumed it would be a game whose intent was to raise awareness of domestic violence, provide some insight into the victim's life, and perhaps offer some sort of resolution at the end.
Between my assumption and upbringing, reading the reviews of the game just drew my ire even more. They could have accomplished something really amazing and thought-provoking with the subject matter, but instead went with "Viscera Cleanup: Battered Housewife Edition"

That would be a really good game to have to raise awareness. I don't know enough about it to tackle such a subject myself in any kind of medium, but I wish a game existed that did address it maturely and properly.

A casual game about domestic violence. That sounds like fun. :-\
Groupees has really hit rock bottom this time. They're not even trying anymore.

I'm not surprised to see GrottyScape in there. As soon as I saw Reed I expected it to be one of the games.
