Seriously. This pops up every day, only to be countered with "Why are there so many ungrateful people" threads because so many enter and so few thank the gifter.

You can't have it both ways, so either deal with the spam, or stop checking for gratitude.

OP has a point. Sure a contributor would like to get some positive feedback. But getting through the whole pages of 'Thanks' just to find a useful comment can be a pain sometimes. Especially in cases like Dwarves!? developer giveaway.

Also here, we all try to comply with the etiquette of the anglosphere regardless of where we are from. We thank everybody for barely anything. However, in some cultures such a behavior may be considered a sign of crawl and is not by any means acceptable in a civilized society. The more you know!..
