If you were paying attention, you probably noticed that no monetary deduction was made in order for you to acquire this game. If not, you should have done, as this is highly irregular, and not the way things normally work when obtaining giftable copies of games using Steam.

...

If you need any further assistance in explaining the enigma of "free", please do not hesitate to add me on Steam for further elucidation on this difficult and widely misunderstood concept.

This is all a huge misunderstanding. The actual title of this forum thread was terribly mistyped and should have read "Dota 2 - great, can't give it away." Our condolences to the original poster.
