Yep. With the debit card or credit card info your accurate location can be ascertained and so there is a great probability that you will be banned.

All I meant to say is why would you risk losing the account?
You see, even steam makes games geo locked. So while one can activate the games which are restricted in a country from an account with which they have not used their card and address info, you can't do the same if your country is restricted and you have used the card to make purchase even on one occasion.
Sooner or later Uplay will do something like this as well, then there is a great likelihood that you would be banned or you will lose access to the games you had acquired using VPN.

Steam takes it seriously, Ubisoft don't and most likely they will never care even if they say otherwise. I already asked some people who bought games this way many times and they were not banned. I would say the risk is quite low. Some people use Uplay only from GeforceNow (thanks to the laughably bad performance of their games) so what if they buy their games that way and never log in from their own country? There are just so many factors and possibilities, it's really hard to determine what is vpn and what isn't etc. I am pretty sure they never monitored it anyway, if you think Ubisoft really watches you what country you bought the game from and where do you log in from minutes after - you are giving Ubisoft too much credit.

Hey Ubisoft is not that stupid. They are watching it but they are not willing to take any bold steps because they know it will backfire. At this moment Ubisoft has a very limited user base and if it takes any rigid steps at this very moment it will lose customers. So, I agree that the risk is quite low.
Now, even if you are not banned, you could be geo locked at a later date disallowing you to obtain freebies from other countries at a future date.
I still think the best route is to buy their games on epic and steam, while using the Uplay account without card or address info.

I think they are offering some serial key too. You can get it by clicking on green button their store page (the one with the picture of rabbit) followed by the another green circle button on the page which opens thereafter. I don't know what to do with this key.

Don't know if it works (already own this game, so why bother?) but I use TunnelBear, has a fair number of options for locations for a free program, just limited data. More than enough to claim a free game as long as you don't need to download under VPN.
