I hope next year is better for you.
I'm glad your parents weren't hurt in the car accident. Tell them to look after their next car better than the one in this video:

This is what I read: Finally there was a good reason for my parents to get a new car..
My uncle passed on to a better place..
I had a very romantic candle lit Christmas dinner thanks to day off of the magical god of electricity, who visited me shortly after..
My neighbor will probably pay lots of money to fix his electricity problem as the god is very pissed at him for stuffing drug money in the walls..
I'll still have a job in the few months to come..
PS1. No connection to real persons as I have no idea who your neighbor is..
PS2. I never had it, I always emulated PS games.
PS3. Happy Healthy 2017 is my wish this year..

It was "romantic" 4 days without power, not just Xmas. Kinda shitty since sun was down early so I couldn't even grab a book :(

This month my sister died 1 week before Christmas, and my mom went into hospital (ICU) Dec. 30th. She will be there through the new year. She just celebrated her 1 yr. anniversary w/ her husband after being a widow. Life can always be worse...or non-existent. I wish you a better year than 2016 has been for many people.Let's try to have to have hope that life will get better.

That's a very rough patch and I don't blame you for feeling down. Though I am relieved the electrical problem didn't lead to a fire or anything, and that you're safe and can head into a brighter January.

Life really decided to take a note from Hitchcock's movies and start with and earthquake, then bring even more shit.
It started with some lady deciding she will not use her car breaks and crash right in the back of my parents car. Whole back destroyed, at least nobody was hurt and parents were planning to change car, so now they have a reason I guess. Even if insurance companies will try to stiff them, like they usually do...
And then, few weeks later, my uncle died. It wasn't totally unexpected, since his health wasn't the greatest, but stlil very sad news. Bigger problem was logistics, since thanks to no car we had to figure out how to get to funeral.
And that wasn't the end, since life prepared special gift for Xmas for me too. I went to Xmas dinner and after coming back I leanred I have no electricity in my power sockets. Yay Xmas without lights. And Yay missing my Cake Day :(
And then came last week of December. That's when life decided, just like in movies, some good news are required. First, electician fixed my power and told me I was lucky, as one of my neighbors also got problem with electicity, but in his case, his problem is somewhere in the walls and will cost hundreds if not thousands to fix. And then finally, after whole month of saying "later", my boss confirmed I'll get few more months of job, yes.
In the end, all I want to say, Happy New Year everyone.
