If I'm aware Dead Space 2 doesn't have multiplayer anyways.

It does. Don't play the game on Steam it gives you free weapons and armor far better than what you should have.

yes i redeemed mine on origin without problems. not 100% sure about this, but i think that the origin client recognized my steam installation of ds2 and launches it without need of redownload.
