[Steam] Street Fighter 4 Question

Hi,

I want to know if I buy SF4 (or SF4 AE) steam key, will I be able to play online for free?? bcs if I would buy the boxed version I need ~ "windows live" or so and its not free. thanks!

You're probably mixing up Xbox Live and with the Windows one. The Windows one is free. There's no fees to play the game on PC, other than your dignity if you buy the DLC.

Only applies to Xbox360 service named XboxLive. PS3 and PC has no subscription fees once you have the game.

came here to say this. online's free don't worry about it :D I have SF4 and play online for free. Wish AE was just an upgrade unfortunately you have to buy an entire new game for 40-ish bucks.

No real pros or cons. But like said before, you don't need to pay for online service, all you have to do is make a gamertag.

If you buy SF4, I would go for the retail version, because it still uses the old GFWL system, which means the game won't be permanently bound to your GFWL account and you will get (about) 15 activations, which means you could possibly sell the game, if you don't like it.

If you buy SF4 AE, it doesn't really matter, because you have to permanently bind it to your GFWL account (no activation limit though) and it's only for you to decide, if you want to have it as a permanent game in your Steam library as well (you won't get any Steam specific benefits like cloud save, achievements or steamplay).

thanks for that! I got both games on my xbox but I dont want to pay for online multiplayer. Therefore Im going to get SF4 AE for PC.
