Only with Binding of Isaac. Other than that it's usually an eye sore, looking at the achievement bar not at 100% or at least 80%.

Absolutely yes. With achievements the game has more challenges, so... it's more fun. Imho of course. After all, it's nice when you see "Achievement unlocked".. :D.. that's the reason why all the Clients (first Steam, now uPlay, Origin etc..) have achievements.

Not really motivated by achievements. But they've sure changed my way of playing games. Now when I approach the end of a play-through, I check which achievements I've missed. That's a good way to know if I've left some big chunk of gameplay out.
But most of the time, achievements just feel like an artificial way to prolong the time spent on a game. And that's not fun.
The kind of achievements I hate :
"collect each and every 1247 piece of crap that are disseminated all over the game map"
"kill 100 enemies with each of the weapons"
"win the game as a bad guy" and "win the game as a good guy"
"win boss fight B without using weapon W" with weapon W being the best weapon you should use in this peculiar fight

If I happen to really like the game I'll try to get as many achievements for it as possible.

Sometimes I'll choose to play a game with achievements over a game that has none, but I won't keep playing if I don't like it just cause it happens to have achievements. It's not the sole deciding factor, but it does have relevance. If I end up really enjoying the game, I'll attempt to get as many achievements as I can, but even then I won't go out of my way to 100% them if they involve doing things I'm not into.

Being an achievement hunter, yep. Achievements usually give me a goal other than just "beat the game on the highest difficulty" and sometimes could reveal stuff I missed story-wise. That said, I still don't like retarded achievements (even worse if their game is crappy too)- "Start Universe Sandbox 10^4 = 10000 times" my ass.

not a "buy or not to buy" factor, but yes, i like to complete achivments when they are interesting enough. not the classical "Reach this checkpoint for achivment, yay!" more like "do this random thing, and get an achivment" like some of the achivments on magicka like: "this is MAGICKA!" or some of the achivments on Trine 2, like the one where you have to stack x amount of objects and step on that for a few seconds.

Yes. I love to earn achievements. Sometimes it is enough just to play. But sometimes require us to achieve agility, cunning or reflexes scriptures (eg, achievement of the game Portal 2 - complete the test room 10 in 70 seconds). I would recommend performing achievements. You can enjoy not only the joy of the game, but also the performance of these challenges. That's my opinion :)
Sorry for bad english, so i'm 20, but i was learning German a lot of time... Now I have to catch up. :)

No, because I know I won't be able to complete all of them. I'm only motivated to play game I like.

Do you feel more motivated to play when a game has achievements?
