I would recommend you try the demo for The Darkness 2 first. The game isn't really meant to be played on a pc. One off the game I regret buying.

do you know what physx is? the answer to your question would be YES, but only if u want MAXIMUM & smooth fps, otherwise you can play it with a powerfull ati with low fps :)

It is very good. It certainly isn't without it's flaws though, it just depends on how much they bother you. They bothered me enough that I quit almost halfway into the game on my first playthrough, but I added it to my backlog and eventually got back round to it and finished it, and I am very glad I did :)
