I'd rather sign a petition to end pointless petitions.

If that is the true reasoning, then they deserved it. You aren't allowed to post referral links on the forums so I don't see why the groups would be any different.

i always thought the selling of games via regional work-arounds was pretty sleazy, so I guess that's that. what a shame because rest of the group activity was great.

I miss the great updates on Amazon sales. I think other groups were just copying Hookups because they've gone silent since Hookups went down.

Thanks. Didn't know that. But I still would prefer not to have to look elsewhere when I check my Steam Community page almost every day and get it right there. Exceptionally convenient. I hope the good admins at Hookups can get the group back up and running.

CAG group makes the same announcements except the unremarkable and the paypal/ebay ones. They've set up a facebook page with the same name if you really want them, they won't be returning to steam.
