So I have a Nexus 5 and I don't really use it for "all it's potential", I thought is there any way to use it as an external video capture device to record on PC? Instead of buying a video capture USB device or card. I'm pretty sure my smartphone is more powerful than most of actual capture devices. But I didn't found any info, maybe I just searched bad.

Counter question: Do you know how much those capture devices? (i'd like to buy one if they don't have astronomic prices)

Avermedia Live Gamer Portable Lite seems one of the best for the price, but it's like 80-90€, there is a more expensive version aswell. There are other cheap ones from 20€+

Wait are you talking about recording from Consoles?

It doesn't make sense to record PC gameplay this way.

I'm talking about PC gameplay recording, I mean I just heard about using smartphone to record console gameplay, using an HDMI cable and smartphone, but didn't heard about doing this on PC.

Because when using a recording software for high demand games like Far Cry 3 with my Radeon HD 7950, you need to down the graphics a lot, and it still doesn't works smooth sometimes.

your GPU even has a recording Chip which minimizes fps-impact, try some supporting software like AMD Gaming Evolved Client

No, but I can record on Very High Far Cry 3, mostly it goes well, but sometimes in high demand zones fps just drops, maybe will be better with the AMD Gaming Evolved software, I will try it. I never did this thing of recording gameplay seriously, just tried it, so maybe I just didn't configure something properly, I used OBS and trial Fraps.

You can play games normally without having to down the graphics a lot, same as using an external or internal gameplay capture device.
