hmm.. i certainly am not claiming i know what's going on at all, but it sounds to me like maybe you have some malware or spyware messing it up? i'd at least run a scan with malwarebytes anti-malware (or similar) to make sure that is not the case.
edit: also a more basic thing, make sure your time on pc is setup properly (regionally as well) -- cert could be goofed up from time/date being set wrong.

HELP!!
Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.steamtrades.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
www.steamtrades.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to www.steamtrades.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be www.steamtrades.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.
You cannot visit www.steamtrades.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later. Learn more.
update: Fixed by turning off my Wifi for the whole evening, turn it back on in the morning....
