Even if a game was given free for a limited time, can you still do a giveaway for it (I own it)

I am just wondering what the rules are for giving a game away that has went free for a limited time, I think it might have been maybe a week or so ago the rising storm 1 Game of the Year Edition went free on humble bundle for a limited time and well I already owned the GOTY edition on steam, but I still decided to get it on my HB account since I figured it was free.

I noticed though that there is that cryptic message about it, the key disappearing in like 9 days and so far with talking to my friends or real life friends that have steam already own the game - so with that I am at a loss and am wondering if it would just be easier to create like a giveaway on here so that I can easily give it to someone who may have missed out on the chance to get it free?

Generally, no. Games are also mostly given away for free for a limited time - there are next to no games that are permanently made free, even though they will appear for free more and more often. Therefore, you don't really have a base for your argument to begin with.
I'm almost 100% sure that you are not allowed to give away your key in the situation you describe. Also, it's generally dangerous to give away keys that are about to expire, too.
If you're in doubt, allow some time to pass on SG and see if it becomes removed from the list. Even then, this is not a guarantee as sometimes there can be a significant delay in support removing the games from the list.

K, but a thing I kind of go different answers, but I am not sure if those keys for HB actually expire in the 9-10 days or if they just get removed from you account information - but say if you copied the key down then you can still redeem it after the 9-10 days?

I guess I never did anything like this before, since all of my giveaways that I did before were all from various bundles or mystery packs that I've purchased.

I will then keep that in mind, so I will probably have to give it away then today or tomorrow. Since I will be leaving on vacation saturday and will be gone for a week and by time I will get back the key would have expired since I think it expires next week or so like the 11th of June.

Basically no. Do not make a giveaway for it via the giveaway creator.

However, there is nothing to stop you giving it away in a post like this one.

I guess thanks everyone for the replies, I am going to close this now I have gotten my awnswer, so I will either A: give it to someone I know irl who doesn't have it. or B: do like a forum giveaway if he doesn't want it.
