So I was 15 min away from SG and suddenly there is an explosion of Titan Quest gold giveaways, did I miss something? Where did they came from?

No, it was 90% off comparing to US normal price.
US normal price for Tiberium Wars: $15
Russian price during sale: 49 рублей ($1.5)
If Tiberium Wars was bundled for 90% off, then Titan Quest Gold should be bundled too.
