Try browsing Steam Card Exchange. They have libraries of all available profile backgrounds, including previews for your own profile.

Pretty much no one is ever going to be looking at your profile ever except for you. You can see it that's what counts, if someone for some reason doesn't have ES, they will see whatever other background you set, you choose both. Besides why would anyone at this point NOT be using Enhanced Steam anyway?

Most of the anime backgrounds are really expensive. High demand and unpopular games. The ones I've seen are around like $5-60 dollars.
