Why are there so many giveaways for nuclear throne?

Nuclear Throne is currently #2 game on my Steam wishlist and there seems to be a great deal for it somewhere (considering the unusual number of giveaways hosted by different people). Unfortunately I can't find the site where it's discounted, so if anyone could help me out, I would really appreciate it.

As said above it was on last months Humble Monthly, but if you check the trade section I'm sure a bunch of people (including myself) have it up for trade if you don't win any giveaways.
