Question: did Putin actually won against those games? I can't remember the final score.

The only problem I see is games that get banned BS reasons like a few good visual novels did.

Weaboo games like "Visual Novels" shouldn't be allowed on Steam in the first place.

Isn't it great that your opinion is not the absolute truth?

"I love time travel stories. They are my favorite type of science fiction. But even in a world with Back to the Future and Star Trek IV, I'd still say the most interesting, complex, and utterly captivating time travel narrative I have ever encountered is the visual novel Steins;Gate". https://kotaku.com/steins-gate-the-kotaku-review-1559811854

"If you love strong storytelling, solid and realistic sci-fi, diverse and engaging characters, quite a bit of charming fanservice, and to be deeply engaged on the emotional level, you owe it to yourself to try the Muv-Luv trilogy out" https://www.dualshockers.com/muv-luvv-alternative-review/

"When you think of doujin writing, you do not usually equate it with amazing... yet on his first try, Nasu wrote a story that some may consider to be the best story he’s written, and in my eyes, it’s one of the better ones out there". https://rockmandash12.kinja.com/rockmandash-reviews-tsukihime-visual-novel-1614282097

"To be honest, I thought it would take a while longer for this day to come. An Excellent score is not one that I give out lightly – in fact, I try not to give them out at all. Despite my attempts to find something wrong with Fate/Stay Night the only negative things I can say about it are incredibly minor when compared to all the things it does right – and it does a whole lot of things right. The degree to which each of its components complement each other is unmatched in my experience, and anyone referring to Fate/Stay Night as anything less than a classic is doing it an extreme disservice. For all that is good in the world, you must play this game."

You must have missed the stream of garbage Bitcoin, direct use of unity store assets and other themed games.

  1. I didn't attack anyone.
  2. I said nothing about any particular games.
  3. That's an awful lot to assume from my two simple sentences, lmao.

I feel like they shouldn't ban. Look at all the 1p trash thats not banned. Games without any quality, fun or efford. They are still here as well. And really, what are ethics anyway these days, these games are still on Steam and even if they arent: This is the internet, the kids find out about all the messed up stuff regardless...

Asset flips, ripoffs, abandoned early access or installers that do absolutely nothing should be removed and banned. I don't see how a red screen that gives achievement for free could be called a "game" in any way possible.
This is NOT censoring, but standard quality control, ffs.

I'm generally against censorship in all forms, though it certainly wouldn't make me sad if I never saw any of the trash games again (which is why I now religiously 'hide' games that I have zero interest in). I also don't know that I absolutely trust Valve to decide what should/shouldn't be banned.

That being said, I'm not familiar with the Putin games specifically (probably hid them a while ago) but anything that's legally questionable (asset flips, stolen games, etc.) should be banned, the developers should be banned and unused keys should be revoked. I guess I'm saying the burden shouldn't be on SG to police these things but I do think Valve should do a better job and not just allow cheap trash games to have a billion keys generated at zero cost to continue being circulated ages after the game goes away. At least, that's my understanding of how key generation works.
