Do you agree with this "cooldown" trade time?
This will literally kill whole CS:GO trading as well as all the sites that are based on the skins and also OPSkins CS:GO marketplace itself... This is just insane, I'm seriously considering to do bad things...If that doesn't change, I lose over $4000 real money...
Yes I know I'm super retarded by not selling the skins before...
Just kill me...

But why? Can't you just wait those 7 days? It's not like your stuff became untradeable.
I have absolutely no experience or knowledge about the CS:GO skin scene (I don't even get what this is all about and how on earth people are seriously paying (and as it seems quite a lot) real money to change the color//design of their weapon in a shooter. It's beyond me, really), so I'd appreciate it if you could explain your issue to a n00b, thanks a lot :)

I will try to explain, csgo skins is trade currency(like dollars, euro, etc..) as their price is stable. Now people don't want to trade those keys, as they won't be available for future trades for 7 days. For example, you sell your Deus ex: md copy from humble bundle to x person, because you found that the y person has Stardew Valley and wants exactly same amount of csgo case keys which u will get for your Deus ex:md, so you sold your Deus and got keys, BUT they are untradeable for 1 week and y person who has your Stardew Valley, said that he don't want to wait and just sold Stardew Valley to someone else. In trading noone wants to wait, everyone wants to get profit as fast as possible and as much as possible.

and y person who has your desired game, said that he don't want to wait and just sold your desired game to someone else.
Why should that person wait to trade the game on again. As soon as you get the keys that you were trading it for you lose any claim to it.

No, I understood. You asked for x keys and you got x keys. What happens after that is non of the buyers concern - as long as they don't chargeback the purchase of those keys or something similar. Yes, having to hold those keys for a week sucks but that's your problem not the buyers.

Yep. They started doing this a looooong time ago and I think it was pretty obvious all along. ;)

Yup, hope the skins prices starts being reasonable with that change (atleast for low-mid tier knifes)
I mean no point on buying tons of low end knifes so u can manipulate prices with that 7 days cooldown.
And to be fair I gave up on them when they introduced the gloves.

I would imagine so but traders might be ok with sitting on keys for a week, most keep them in their inventory for awhile any way before sellin/tradin on.

They could still sell them like they do now, it's just that the buyer will have to wait 7 days to use them. I buy off the market or through CSGO which evers cheapest and have to wait 7 days to be able to trade for games etc so it's not gonna be too bad I don't think. We could always go back to TF2 keys until they do the same with them lol

I was always saying that Valve is trying to kill trading, but nobody believed me and they thought it's just "for our safety". :P Do you believe me now? Wait till they find a way to restrict steam keys even more. ;)

Wait till they put a lock on everything and make new rules about steam keys. x)

Does this basically mean PayPal's gonna shoot it's fees from NEXT month?
Is it the one gonna happen on 25th may?

I have no use for CS:GO Items, other than using them now and then as a trading currency to get bundled games I missed, but these are terrible news indeed and will make the process a whole a lot more complicated, the 7 days cool-down limit when buying from the market was extremely inconvenient already.
There might come a day when Valve will scrap keys altogether, killing this community, trading sites and all competing stores with one swipe.

And why should they? There are people who are buying bundled games from group buys that will have a week in order to get anything. The fact that this move doesnt hurt you doesnt mean that its okay.

As long as you split more than 2-3 games a week and you will find out its not just a week in the end.
They are pixels and they are worth nothing to you but not for anybody. With that why games have a real price and arent free as they are just pixels? By the way do you think that valve did this as they are just pixel and worth nothing? If that was the case why not stop the whole market thing.

Not really a waste of time and money, bots are automated, so it's not really "time" that goes to waste here, and you're just introducing a potential delay, not an increased cost.
It does introduce another complication though, and that's that you're basing your trade on the current value, with the hope that price won't change too much by the time you can trade the skin away in the future. I would imagine that this will make trading recently released skins quite risky, as their price tend to be rather unstable early on, fluctuating quite a bit, but with a generally downwards trend. So either skin-trading bots will need to offer less for new skins, or they'll risk losing money that way.

cs go key is an equialent of steam currency and many people use it just for trading, so they don't want to buy cs go on their account
since all grey market will be erased, only steam (community)marketplace allow you to buy(trade) these keys, so no wonder. It is something like a currency inflation(or deflation) caused by monopoly of steam

Good move in my opinion. People trying to get rich off of buying/selling/trading anything steam related needs to be stopped, but again that's just my opinion. The people who get rich playing these games most of the time don't even like the games they play. You can trust me because I played Aion for years, before during and after it was on Steam, and pretty much my entire guild was in it for the money, for the power leveling, for making a profit off of a game they(and I) genuinely hated.
And before someone says that we were doing something illegal, it's really no different than what happens on the steam marketplace. Buy low, sell or trade at a profit, rinse and repeat, sadly that's all most "gamers" these days play games for. We've gotten away from playing a game because it's actually fun to play. Now everybody and their mothers has a twitch channel or tries making a profit off of streaming or uploading or trading items for games that for the most part they hate.

Why can't?
https://www.steamtrades.com/ - Ppl still trade games for cs go keys, and cs go keys for games.
For me nothing changed. If i want to trade a game for 1 cs go - i'm ok if i can sell this key only week later

So after the new updated, items cannot be re-traded for seven day after you trade them.
Your opinions about this?
Will this new rule hold?
