I feel a bit the same. I played chivalry and Mount and Blade. In coparison WoR or how its called has nice graphics and i like the combat system(like M&B), but the combat feels a bit slow. However the customisation is great. I hope they improve the gamplayspeed a bit to make it more intense....

That's the whole point... dueling isn't just smashing your sword down like a barbarian

Played WoTR first and then Chivalry. So far I've spent more time on Chivalry and I think it's a better game overall. I only play duels in Chivalry as everything else just frustrates me. I do like WoTR's archery a lot better than Chivalry's, but that's about the only redeeming factor about it.

Lot better than Chivalry in my opinion. Maybe combat is slower, but it's more realistic that way. It's team oriented game and i think i have money well spent on WOTR.

Duly noted! - was curious about this, as, similarly, I was slightly disappointed in title Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, yet have fond memories of the original free HL2 mod (Chivalry) which was wicked fun! I suspect highly polished graphics & high fidelity effects / environments comes @ the sacrifice of engaging, satisfying & fast-paced / smooth combat mechanics - of which there's no substitute, in my opinion.
All of which are American dreams...

i am not a big fan of this kind of game but i tried war of the roses, warband and chivalry... Warband is the best, then chivalry ant last war of the roses IMO. If someone love these games dont do a crime to own all :) I bought war band and i am fine with that only...if i win the others well..good

Also keep in mind this game is far from finished it's missing Siege mode (it's confirmed and coming soon) which will add tons of fun and a better replayability, besides Fatshark will be providing content updates on monthly basis. (and so far they delivered)

So what? I had such disappointment not long ago, it was called "Max Payne 3", and where was my own reasons for that. It's a matter of taste here, you know.
With WotR I needed about half an hour to understand - this not my kind of game. Neither "WotR", nor "Chivalry".

Well, here's my ranking for those 3 games.
WotR was very dissapointing for me, as well, I hoped it would be a lot more similar to mount and blade, which it wasn't. The archery combat was awesome but everything else pretty much bad. The combat felt very chunky, slow, hard and unresponsive, unlike Mount and Blade. I like Chivalry, as well, but Mount and Blade will remain my number 1.

Am I the only one who was expecting a lot more from this game? Who else tested it out? Give me your thoughts about this "Chivalry's rival".
If I discover that I'm the only one who didn't like it I might make a giveaway for it in the next few days, since I've been wanting to make a non-bundle one for quite some time.
Thx
