Hi
I've a question about Borderlands TPS without SP
At moment, I don't own the base game
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/63481/
How much will be the prize in this pack if I already have Borderlands TPS?

I mean, I want to buy the game with this pack:
http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/257/Borderlands_Triple_Pack/

and then buy with this pack
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/63481/

makes sense or is it stupid?

thanks

I think it's a package, not a bundle. The difference is that there's 2 discount numbers instead of 1 and the word "bundle" in the url.
So I think you do not get a discount for owning part of it.

Package = games together, cheaper together.
"bundle" = cheaper together (like 5+5€ = only 9) but if you own one or more of the package, the final discounted price gets even lower (like 5+5+5 would be 12€ only, but if you own two out of it, you could get the third for like 2€)

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel + Season Pass
-70%
20,99€ (down from 70) for me because apparently it ignores that I have the base game.
Yes, what just Avantyr said.

It doesn't include Season Passes, sadly.

It's weird. I don't think that one actually has any discount. Prices are the same as buying the loose games.

Even then, bundles usually add at least 5% or 10% off, this one doesn't.

Bundle discount: 0%

Buy this bundle to save 0% off all 8 items!

Triple pack:

Bundle discount: 40%

So there's no point to buying that bundle over buying the things by themselves.

This discount is aside from the reduction for owning them. This updates the price, but it will still be the same as buying the things individually.

That's because of the "Bundle discount" which is 0% here. That's what makes them cheaper.

Open the page of a couple of bundles and look around, you should be able to find that value for each. That's the discount you get on top of any sale/discount each title has.

I'm out,

Because you don't seem to understand how it works, no matter how many times I say it.
Even if you had all of the items except 1 item, the price you'd pay is the same as buying that item outside of the bundle. Yes, you pay less than if you had to buy every item in the bundle, but what you pay is exactly the same as buying any games of the bundle that you don't own individually. I.e. you get no savings from buying that bundle.

I'm sorry, but I don't know how to make it easier for you to understand what the bundle discount being 0% means.

What you are saying is somewhat how it would work if you there was a bundle discount. Here the "savings" you are thinking you'd get are 0.
A bundle is just a package where you get the bundle discount in addition to the current sale price of the items. So when you own something it's not counted, it doesn't affect the individual savings you get for each part of the bundle. Seeing the big number go down because you are buying less items is a consequence of not having to buy them, not getting more savings or an additional discount. Call it a matter of semantics if you want.

it's not working like it should

Yeah, it's set to a 0% discount, like I've been saying.

That 25% is what makes the difference.
In this bundle it's 0%, hence no discount.

comes out of owned products

No it doesn't. It's what I've been trying to get you to understand.
The 25% is a flat discount applied to all the items of the bundle.
The 63% is the resulting discount on the total price of the items you don't own.

If that number, the bundle discount was 10% and you had a bundle of 2 items of $10(not on sale), you'd have to pay $18 if you own 0 or $9 if you own 1 item. The big number, what you are saving, still being 10%.

If the games were both on 40% discount (price $6).
The big number would then be 50%, and you'd have a total price of $10 or $5. The discount % doesn't change if you own 1 or 2 items, because it's the discount you get on the items you are buying, it doesn't take into account the price of the items that you have.

lower the cost of whole bundle

It lowers the cost of the items you don't have by the bundle discount and adds up the total, it doens't count any items that you do have.

I agree on the 0% being weird and probably a mistake. Hopefully the example clarifies how the system works.

In short, if you already have the Presequel base game (or getting it via the Triple Pack, you're better off getting the season pass seperately (if you want it).
Package will cost 20,99€, season pass by itself is 14,99€

My advice on how to get it cheaper, if you just want TPS, would be trading or getting the pre sequel separately elsewhere and buying the DLC on its own.
You could save $6 or so.
