at http://www.game-debate.com you can search a game and then enter your specs and it shows how good or bad you can run the game

I've found a solution thanks to all of you!:
To check if your PC can run a game:
[1] Go to http://www.game-debate.com/
[2] Type your GPU in the search box (e.g., Quadro FX 1600M).
[3] Select your graphics card from the available options (the Quadro FX 1600M graphics card)
[4] Scroll to bottom of page -- you can now check a game's requirements, or compare to a recommended/minimum GPU (in a Steam game's store page).
[5] (when checking a game's requirements, it gives one of three results: red x, white ✓, or green ✓).
Red x = game doesn't run.
White ✓ = game runs, but isn't playable.
Green ✓ = game runs, completely playable.

There's also http://www.game-debate.com/ - just type a game into the top search bar and off you go.
Edit: Ninja'd!

System requirements is usually a big old exaggerated lie developers tell in order to shield themselves against refund claims and other bad press, or at least it was before Steam and its "WE REFUND ANYTHING" was made available.
It's not rocket science, use the following table:
If your GPU was released on this year (Vertical axis)
And at the time it was x tier (Horizontal axis)
You can expect to run AAA titles, even if on lower qualities, until x (cells)
*Minimum: set everything to Very Low and pray.
. | Top | Medium | Cheap |
---|---|---|---|
2015 | 2018 | 2017 | 2016 |
2014 | 2017 | 2016 | 2015 |
2013 | 2016 | 2015 | Minimum |
2012 | 2015 | Minimum | Minimum |
E: this is excluding lazy developers not optimizing a game (UbiCOUGHsoft) or weird compatibility/driver problems.
E2: for any indie game, you can expect to have potato GPU and play it until 2999.

Well, that's not really accurate, and also doesn't take in consideration resolution. You can run anything at medium with a 580* at 1080px() and maybe even with a 660ti, and if you use lower resolutions even better. :)
*which also happens to be the best cuda gpu at the moment (for budget 'indie' developers) :P

Doesn't talk about games, just compares benchmarks of all the cards.

Is there a website where I can compare my GPU, to other GPU's?
I want to know if my PC can run a particular game, by comparing GPUs.
I am asking this because System Requirements Lab does not work for me anymore (this is a website that tells you if your PC can handle a particular game).
