PayWUW average is screwed today because this bundle includes Guilty Gear Isuka for 1$, and HB average is screwed too because just by coincidence only today(and until tomorrow) you can get Vanguard Princess and more stuff for 1$ from Indie Gala. Today is a funny day for averages.

Isuka is the worst Guilty Gear, and it isn't that great a port either. It is bundle fodder for a reason.
Vanguard Princess is in Indie Gala's Monday bundle, $1 for Vanguard Princess and 7 other games.
And just in terms of Humble itself, as someone else pointed out, Humble Store has returned Hammerwatch to $1.99 the day after its Daily Bundle ended. That's starting to look a bit skeezy, selling the game for $1.99 before the bundle, "raising" it to $3.99 during its daily bundle, then returning it to $1.99 after the bundle ended...

Yo just letting you all know Guilty Gear and Vanguard Princess don't have online multiplayer (Vanguard does with a mod, though but it's a bit clunky to establish). I was extremely disappointed to find this out after paying for them a while ago in a different bundle.

Hah.. well.. I already have two of those. Too bad I did not wait on the guilty gear one as I bought it during a sale.. think last month ( or was it early this month? ) I do not remember now lol.
I would say, unless you want Blade. Pick up Guilty Gear from HB then go to IndieGala for Vanguard Princess. ( Really good deal from Indie Gala for a change. ) All are decent games.
Honestly for 1 USD I would say its well worth it. ( The HB one, as well as the indie gala one.. too bad you wont get more bang for your buck with the HB one though since its only 1 game. )
Kind of like this daily bundle thing and I kind of do not at the same time. If they have small bundles like this.. it might end up not working well for them. I do not mind them doing repeats of past bundles though since it gives those who where unable to get them another chance at it.

Indeed, it's a charity, however Humble Bundle uses as bait for gather its donations, and the bait is reasonable deals for good games. Unfortunately the latest Humble Daily Bundle deals have fallen short of their usual high mark, and the current Melee deal is vastly undercut by the indiegala bundle. Even though less than $5.00 for two games usually is not an unreasonable proposition, GG Isuka and Vanguard Princess are not exceptional and better deals are available.
The fact is that I'd also feel much better buying from HB, knowing that both the developer's and charities would benefit from my purchase, but the usual high standards for deals that we are used to from HB are missing lately and are the reason for most of the disappointment and backlash.

It's not like they know what other bundle curators have in the works though, and with so many bundles flying around these days it is bound to happen. There's not much sense (if any) in people crying about it. If you aren't interested, just save your money & move along, and wait to see what comes next. Also, they run bundles/promos so often now (it used to be months between bundles) that it's virtually impossible to meet these unrealistic expectations that people seem to have.
Some people don't even realize how spoiled they've become with all these bundles and it's actually kind of ridiculous.
Edit: As a matter of retrospect, Humble Indie Bundle 11 was fairly recent and it was quite arguably the best ever offered.

Absolutely, Humble Bundle 11 was very good, as was the Image Comics Bundle imo, but those have become the exception among the dozens of Humble Bundles made available since February. People have become used to great bundles from Humble Bundle and have all the right to criticize the lackluster quality in general of the later ones, even if the reason for dropping the ball is the increase in the number of promos. It will be entirely up to Humble Bundle to hear those criticisms and act as they see fit, or not.
There already are a multitude of game bundles every week that serve up shovelware to whoever wants to hoard a large number of games, so there is a place for a reliable service that consistently offers good game bundles, albeit less frequently. That, I believe, is the reason behind the discontent and it is perfectly reasonable to criticize Humble Bundle for lowering the standards we have come to expect from it.

In an actual charity shop, the default sale donation to charity is not 20%, and there's no such thing as a tip to a 3rd party (ie potential profit for someone else). A charity shop would try to acquire items for as close to 0 as possible, use volunteers, and all proceeds from sales would go to charity. The goal for a charity is to have over 90% of all donated money go to the charity, not 20%.
They would also try to use as few middlemen as possible, since governments, banks, processors, moneyhcangers, and everyone else each take a cut every step of the way as the money moves from the donator towards the receiver.
