Which game should I buy?

View Results
Cyberpunk 2077
DEATHLOOP
Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead 2 was an insanely atmospheric experience for me and the weather effects are unmatched in my opinon. With Dual shock controllers you can literally feel your character getting drenched to the bone when there is a heavy storm brewing.

On the other hand if you're sort of an obsessive gamer like me you might get lost and forget about the story in the open world because there's just soo much to do and discover. Also I suppose some people might dislike the slow pacing.

Collecting recipes, hunting and crafting is also huge time sucker. I spent hours and hours just hunting to keep my posse fed, listening to their campfire stories and collecting furs to craft rare clothing.

With it's beautiful detailed wildlife and gorgeous map that game has actually awaken a desire to live off the land in me I didn't know I had 😅

I've recently been to a 3D Archery parkour with my sister, not to a small degree inspired by Red Dead 2 😄

I decided it is time to buy RDR2 for myself when it dropped to 50%, Cyberpunk haven't look good to me since start, it was more like meme than good game in my opinion and Deathloop I saw some bad reviews and as it dropped to 17€ on humble already, I expect it get bundled soon.

For cyberpunk it isn't 50% for first time I think? Deathloop is even cheaper on retail

I hate games longer than 20 hours. I have about 180 hours in RDR2. To me it was outstanding. The world felt alive, so many things to do. Sometimes I was like ”I wonder if this is possible in this game" and I can only remember one time they didn't think of it: adopting a dog or a cat. I've never felt this way playing any game. Also they did some great things when it comes to the story. I was impressed on so many levels.

It's very specific though so you might want to check the gameplay on YouTube. It may feel slow due to riding everywhere on horse. These trips were the advantage and disadvantage of this game because it was really immersive to take this lonely long rides and also you could get bored of them. Later in the game you can unlock quick travel though (never used it myself cos I was enjoying these lonely rides).

Looks like I'm among the few who've enjoyed Cyberpunk so much more than RDR2. Probably just preferred the speedy cyberpunk setting to the slow West. Still, both are great games with outstanding stories, so I'd recommend them both (and if you get both, you won't have to bother with buying any other games for quite some time).

All of them. But RDR2 first.
I'll do the same once when the holiday sale begins.

Those are somewhat different games.

  • Want an open world RPG? Cyberpunk 2077
  • Want to explore a hub area with some freedom and cool abilities? Deathloop
  • Want another open world more narrative drive? Red Dead Redemption 2

For everything else there's MasterCard
