How do you feel about the accuracy of Steam review averages?
For me, it's Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. And I'm not even sure if I actually want to play it, didn't enjoy Ace Attorney that much.
But I'm really interested in the second place game, The Roottrees are Dead.

I have both of those on my list, and have to agree that I'm much more interested in Roottrees. Looks really great.

Repeats:
Smushi Come Home (During launch week I thought it was "eh 100 reviews ofc its 99%" but now it has over thousand reviews and still 99%)
Great God Grove
But since no repeats..
"Travel through an overgrown megastructure, and discover what lies beyond it. Metal Garden is a short, atmospheric singleplayer FPS game."
As for steam reviews..
I'm bit torn. People can be so awfully picky on issues that are either not fault of the game or its users specific PC issues.
For example I literally read review few years back on game going "I thought this was mario kart clone but turns out its not".. it was not even racing game. None of the screenshots had karts. How in the world its games fault the user made up some alternative universe and thought platformer is mario kart??
Or someone complaining that tutorial was too long.
Just yesterday I saw someone on steam forums complain that "game is unoptimized, its using my GPU 99%". Like, bruh. Thats what GPUs are MEANT to do unless you cap the fps.
Then on positive side you only need to look at classic "Totally not NFT" clicker games. Positive reviews be like "it changed my life and I love (clickable object) XD".
And at same time you have games going "mixed" but at same time you have articles stating "fastest and biggest selling PC game from the studio of all time". I sure have mixed feelings on that.

Metal Garden looks interesting, hadn't seen that one before.
I also get particularly annoyed at the reviews which complain because "I wanted X but this is Y!" when it's very clear from the quickest glance that the game never remotely intended to be X... So many people are terrible at reviewing, it's kind of miraculous that we get any useful information at all from them!

Metal Garden is one of those games that I'll probably snatch as soon as it goes on a sale, or maybe full price later this year. All of the videos I've watched about it say that it's probably the vibe-y-est brutalist megastructure game since NaissanceE, although I do have high hopes for Motorslice which should be releasing soon-ish.

not surprised the top review scores are all VN's
I should skim my wishlist for the mostly positives and double check those.
I have generally found 90%+ review averages have been great, 80-90% usually pretty good, 70-80%.. sometimes questionable, 60-70%... genre dependent.

Mine would be Aokana, but cabfe stole it from me! :D :D
So I will have to go down to #2, which happens to be Flowers: Le volume sur ete.
Funny, I'm not even a big fan of VNs in general... but I am not totally surprised by this -- a few VNs I played had the most memorable stories I have ever seen in any medium (Fata Morgana, Root Double...).
Cheers!

Oh, sorry. You should have sung Don't bump me down before I posted this... :D :D :D

I think 15th is definitely the record so far 😅
Rhythm Doctor seems like a nice game, though!

Honestly extremely surprised no one's listed either of these before me, but it's DAVE THE DIVER and then Baldur's Gate 3 :)

Looks like I'm a little late to the party, so I had to go down to #7 to find one that hadn't already been mentioned:

Well uh, my top 1 seems to not have been mentioned by anyone else.
I...I don't know what I expected, but I know it wasn't this. (Dialtown: Phone Dating Sim)

That's... very different. But it seems nice! And fun! So maybe different in a positive way. Much like your good self 😊

Mine was also Lil Gator Game, if we count repeats. It's a great game, by the way. I played it on Game Pass, but I want to replay it sometime on Steam.
Non-repeats: Crap, the nr I found was already discussed. I put Don't Escape Trilogy originally.
New Edit: CATO: Buttered Cat https://store.steampowered.com/app/1999520/CATO_Buttered_Cat

I'm glad someone already mentioned Don't Escape Trilogy, because I'd never seen CATO before and it looks great! 😊

The lowest rated game on my WL is Civ 7, the rest are rated 90%+ so apparently I have exquisite taste

I was just playing around with my wishlist, and something came to mind which I thought might be interesting.
When I sort my wishlist by Review Score, the game which ends up at number one is... Lil Gator Game!
So, the idea is this: sort your wishlist and share the link here for what comes out on top... BUT - no repeats! So if someone else already posted the same game, you can go down your list until the first one which hasn't already been mentioned.
