It's my birthday!

I don't really celebrate anymore so I decided to celebrate with you guys instead by offering up some little bundle games. All of them are level 1 and end on the 25th.

21 Days
Link Twins
One Last Chance
Fault - milestone one

I'm also looking for some good game suggestions if anyone is nice or bored enough to help. Which of these games in my library should I play right away?

Good luck everyone. I may add more giveaways later!

(One Last Chance has been fixed! Thank you everyone!)

Happy birthday stefanig. Play fallout as its a classic that any gamer should play. For something more recent, borderlands the pre-sequel would be my choice. :-)

HB !
If you have friends to play with, Monaco is a great game :D as the title says, the game takes place in Monaco and all the people there talk french, it's quite funnyto hear them react to your actions.
If you don't want to wait or anything i'd suggest giving a try to Downwell which is very satisfying and enjoyable from the get go. It also gets harder as you play, so if you enjoy it, it'll offer quite a good challenge.

Happy birthday stef!! Hope you have a wonderful day regardless if you celebrate. :)

Cook, Serve, Delicious! is a great typing game, makes you feel like a badass by the end!

ibb & obb
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
Speedrunners
Tricky Towers
are all really fun co-op games!

I also just heard of Nippon Marathon btw which is a Japanese game show Mario Party-esque local co-op game that looks like a blast and made me think of you, since I know you play a bunch of co-op too. It's still in early access but have my eyes out for updates. :) Watched some guys play it for 20 minutes and looks like so much fun.

Thanks for the co-op recs!

ooo I just looked up Nippon Marathon and it looks like silly fun. Do you know if it's also online co-op or just local? Thanks for bringing it to my attention. My friends and I have been trying to find minigame and mario party like games for a while now.

It's planned to just be local co-op, the dev said this.

merry day of birth!
you have several games that are great in coop - do you have a friend to play with? there are some games I'd only recommend if you do
as for singleplayer, qube is short and sweet, braid is short and brain-teasing, super hexagon is short and adrenaline-pumping...
some less shorter ones are good too, dustforce is a great platformer with some pretty tough levels later on, the legend of grimrock II has blown me away and taken my spot for second favourite game
those are some that I personally played and liked!

monaco is my personal favourite game for playing co-op, overhead heist game done really well
ibb & obb has some interesting puzzle design to crack with a friend
speedrunners is a blast with some versus platforming
and borderlands the pre-sequel is fun too, I love the series and while this one's considered not as good as 2 it's still a lot of fun

Lots of good suggestions in this thread!

I'll just say a bit about Cthulhu Saves the World - This is a pretty fun old school RPG. Nice humor and gameplay (totally turn on developer comments if you play it - those are both interesting and humorous). I noticed a couple people mention this is an RPGMaker game - it actually isn't. The developers said on several occasions that it is a homebrew engine. After playing a ton of RPGMaker games, it definitely does not have the same 'feel' as them. It isn't a perfect game by any stretch of the imagination, but a pretty fun romp.

I might be looking at this game through rose tinted glasses It was one of my very first purchases on Steam. My steam time shows that I have 13 hours in this game - that's with a playthrough on the normal game and a playthough on a bonus mode (beating the game unlocks several interesting modes).

Happy birthday! 🍰

I was bored nice enough to check your link and typed out a long response with a lot of titles, but then I accidentally made the wrong mouse gesture (according to my mouse) and instead of next tab I reloaded the page and g'bye my long response... q_q

I guess I'll give it another shot, but probably more concise.

  • Alpha Protocol
Good game when I played it years and years ago. Recommended if it can run on a modern system.
  • Armello
Difficult board-game with cute aesthetic. Probably fun with friends?
  • Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!
It's a Borderlands game so it's an excellent game - however the least excellent in the series. Fun RPG FPS with loot and friends. Probably hampered by not having access to DLC classes (which are said to be the best) or any prior knowledge about the Borderlands universe.
  • Company of Heroes
Solid RTS. If you're aiming for only completing the campaign I don't think it'll take too long.
  • Guacamelee!
It's a 2D platformer fighter hybrid, IIRC. It's and OK game overall, but may get boring fast if you're not into it. Give it a try tho.
  • Hard Room
IIRC, it's a hard platformer. First levels are OK but then it turns into hell (for me at least).
  • Killing Floor
Highly recommended co-op FPS. The achievements will be a proper grind tho, and the download size is quite big. If you're up for trying it tho it's a really good game.
  • Knights of Pen and Paper
Cool pixel table-top RPG. Shouldn't be too hard to 100% or take too much storage place. Get it now and try it out. Unless you hate it this is a solid and fun pick.
  • Runestone Keeper
Nice rouge-like where you go down and down and down. Can be hard and unforgiving (like any rogue-like) but still fun. Recommended.
  • Saints Row 2
Better than GTA, but sadly a broken console port mess on PC. If you can get it to run or can tolerate the crashes every few hours it's still a brilliant game.
  • Super Rude Bear Resurrection
I hated it. Maybe you won't?
  • The Masterplan
Cool top-down heist game. I found controls a bit wonky but it's a nice game nonetheless - not that I've played much of it (yet).
  • The Witcher
Your grim fantasy RPG wet dream. If you're into dark fantasy this is a game you should play ASAP.
  • Volume
I actually just played this while waiting for Gal Civ III to download. It's a pretty minimalistic stealth game with some humor, however after playing ~30 missions over 2 hours it got really repetitive. Good game tho, so far. Try it.
  • Woodle Tree Adventures
Cute 3D platformer which feels like a bad console port with that annoying camera. If you can get past the camera it's a somewhat simple game well worth at least a try.

To sum up:

  1. Knights of Pen and Paper
  2. Runestone Keeper
  3. Volume
  4. Alpha Protocol
  5. The Witcher
  6. Killing Floor

Happy (late) birthday!

Of those listed, i enjoyed:

A story about my uncle
Dirt 3
Dead Island (mindless zombie killer, but it can get really repetitive)
Half Life 2 (i played it on release, don't know how it aged)
Keep talking and nobody explodes (genius game, play it with friends)
Mass effect 2 (if you liked the first absolutely play this one!)
Party Hard (Easier Hotline Miami)
The resident evils
Van Helsing (Diablo like)
Tropico (Sim city)
Xcom (One of most played games for me :D)

Happy Birthday!

I would suggest:
Bioshock 2 - the Minerva's DLC that's included is fantastic
Company of Heroes - it's a fantastic RTS
Fallout - it's dated, but still one of my favorite RPGs
Limbo - fun action game, great style, easy to get into
Mass Effect 2 - one of my favorite RPGs. You have played 1, right? 2 greatly improves on the combat and writing.
The Witcher - it's flawed, but has a great setting and world building, and a great feeling of consequence. Play it on easy to minimize the combat.
XCOM - great strategy game

There you go, 7 great games, 5 different genres, should be something to catch your interest.

Happy birthday Stef!
The animal gifs are all awesome. :)

The games that stand out most to me are Alpha Protocol, The Darkness II, Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines, and Stacking. The last one is especially if you want something a little less heavy than the other three. (And of those longer heavier three, The Darkness 2 is the most straightforward one to play through, and I played it without ever playing the first or reading any comics or backstory and still very much enjoyed it, if tearing your enemies limb from limb is something you might at all enjoy...)

and +1 to coop Monaco, too!

Maybe, you could give a try to one of those, if you wish: XCOM, Mafia 2 or HL2.
