Anyhow, do you know why your profile was suspended? (This happened to my brother a while back. It seems it had to do with some fiction he'd posted as a note. It wasn't fair but what can you do?)

It's useful to have at least one spare, to test privacy settings, send notes to, and test aps on. A friend of mine maintains around five for signing up for promos.

Well, the smiley face was meant to indicate a lack of seriousness. What followed was true though, and it sort of laid out why somebody would want to:
-The easiest way to really see who can see what on profiles is with a second account.
-It provides a way to send yourself notes (which are shared between devices on which you have FB).
-It gives you a place to safely test out apps that might mess up your profile, steal your information, spam your friends, or simply embarras you.
-It provides a profile to sign up for promotions on or "refer" thus getting the benefits without causing spam for you and yours.
Additionally:
-It provides a way to have multiple different conversation threads with the same person, something FB has made impossible. This can be done by adding your dummy account to convos.
But none of that means you actually maintain or regularly log into the account. It mostly just sits there being useful. Nobody but me ever sees it.

To neutralize a strong acid, you need a strong base and that's a fact. Still, I know that nobody should "play" with bleach. :P If that's what you're asking, no, I wouldn't mix bleach with anything. :P And I never did actually. I'm a food technologist. Why would I ever use bleach in an experiment? xD
