It was clear, but paragraphs make the text easier to read - but that's just my opinion ;)

Tell them to make a different giveaway and mark as not received. If s/he doesn't own the game and you own the alt, there's not much alternative.

Mark as not received (unless the gifter wants to purchase the correct game for you), and suggest he/she creates a new giveaway for this game.
All you can do.

I would mark it as not received and let the gifter sort it out with support if he wants his giveaway deleted.

And be an honest bloke and disregard the key he gave you so he can regift it :)
He will get in trouble, probably, though, since he didn't give away the game he promised, although he might get a pass since you're not too troublesome about it :P

I won a giveaway and the creator sent me the key. I activated the key but it turned out that it wasn't for the game the giveaway was for but for another game (from the same series) which I already own. I contacted him and he said that he was convinced that it was for the game he opened the giveaway for as he had the key for a long time. Obviously he can't send me the proper key and I already have the game he sent me. Now what? Do I mark the gift as not recieved? Do I let him reroll the key (properly this time)? Any other suggestions? I do believe it was an honest mistake, no use in trying to scam anybody in this way.
