Seems to be the industry-wide trend really. More frequent discounts, but less deep discounts.
Guess publishers don't like that more and more people are willing to wait a year to get the same game for 15% of it's original price ?

Meh, I don't think that games that I'm waiting for will have price drop - like Alien Isolation. Besides I still have Dragon Age Inquisition in my backlog + games from Winter Sale xD

Dragon Age Inquisition is very exciting...
PS: The role in EA's game walking way is strange, just like Shepard ^_^

I mean base price drop :D Alien: Isolation is 1,5 year old and has still got base price of 50€.
And I don't buy anything for more than 8€ (up to 14€ for game with all DLCs) - Alien Isolation is far from this range. So I will wait, I have lot of time and big backlog xD

I think the next monthly bundle that's giving you Alien Isolation is a much better deal than waiting for a base price drop.
You'll have to wait at least another year or so for it to drop to like $30 and even at 75% off, it'll be $7.5 where the extra $4.5 you're adding into the monthly bundle could net you more games you'll like or fodder to trade for stuff you want. Take it with a grain of salt when you consider the purchase though.
Personally, I think it's worth it at $12/bundle if I know I'll be getting Isolation.

Well, if you include the other 5 games as DLCs, then the Humble Monthly Bundle is well within your budget range! :'P
For me, $12 is my sweet spot for supporting games- so that'd definitely do it for me, if I had the money to spare, and a game I wanted to support was guaranteed to be in the HmB.

Highly probable, seems that Steam is following the other distribution sites now instead of the other way around in doing more frequent sales.
Then again, if the winter holiday and autumn sale before that were any indication there's not going to be much special going on.
Only titles I'm remotely interested in would be Crashlands or the DLC pack for XCOM2 and there's no way they'll get a discount so short after release.

No way. That would put three sales in about as many months.
I mean, I could be wrong, but I would be shocked if this happened.

I could see them doing it,do we need it,i really do not think so,would they do it even if we do not need it,yes.
If you ask me the more sales we have, the worse the discounts will get,you can not tell me that if they have a big sale about every 3 months that publishers are doing to put huge discounts on all of them.I think Steam just needs the two,Summer and Winter sale....well the Halloween also but that just horror games and so on that go on sale, that usually when i try get my horror games.
With all the bundle sites adding more sales i think would just be to much, but that just me lol

There are so many sites now that sell Steam keys, that honestly, having a sale without any additional elements like trading cards is just not a big deal any more. Sure, there are a few games which are still sold only on Steam, but other than that the only ones who can be excited are the people in the cheap Steam regions. Us in ROW can get probably better deals all year long somewhere else, it is just a question of patience and how much one wants to scan the stores (or set up IsThereAnyDeal alerts).

We can't use credit cards or paypal here. We can only buy steam wallet codes from people who use credit cards to purchase them.
I found out about WebMoney recently and the credit cards that are sold for it are even cheaper than steam wallet codes but apparently it also requires some sort of verification and some other works that I'm too lazy to do.
Overall the safest and easiest way to buy games on steam here is using steam wallet codes. The worst part is that I can't buy any bundle.
