Dungeon Defenders 2 worth it?

balance that with its relatively cheap for a new game, though it is early access

They already said they won't be doing DLCs, all future updates will be free. After 1 year they intend to be out of Early Access and it will be free-to-play, so probably won't be bundled..

The vast majority of the dlc for the original was free and most of the rest was included with the shard pass and the original had no cash shop. Eternity however was clearly to milk some extra cash out of those of us who bought the original and dlc but i got it anyway because it fixed the major issue the original had with severe progression issues. But because of the lack of kick option it was dead very quickly due to leeches that couldn't be dealt with other than just leaving the match entirely and ridiculously bad match browser.

But i am probably just going to wait till DD2 goes f2p since i still haven't finished Eternity due to the reasons above and don't like the idea of paying for DD2 so shortly after buying Eternity. DD2 should have been free for those who own Eternity. Also being flat broke helps with the decision to not get it yet.

Did you actually play first DD?
