Entering a giveaway for others

Just a small reminder, entering a giveaway for others is still against the rules. I've seen enough ppl get away with it and honestly it seems like this rule is slowly being pushed to a grey area.

Unfortunately I think it's pretty common, I see lots of people comment on doing it in giveaways.

It was fine by me the first time but it's getting too ridiculous. Idk, i think it just seems unfair to those who only enter for themselves and for the best only to lose a to pair who worked more or less together.

It does seem like a grey area.
From the FAQ:

There's a great game up that I have, but my buddy doesn't. Can I win it for him?

  • It's preferred that all members only enter for their own account, for games they do not already own. If a friend is interested in a game, you're encouraged to generate an invite for them using points.

Some people enter just for the sake of having a chance to win free things.
At least people who enter giveaways for others are just extending the "give" chain.

The trouble is when those others are also here entering for themselves. They get 2, 3, 4 chances to win, depending how large their team is. Other users following the rules have only one. It's not really extending a "give chain" at all if the intent from the beginning was to mass entries for one person.

I think the rule's should be clarified a bit to avoid such things like "1st offense=a warning" or something along those when actually caught. At least this will reduce rage later on or something

I was not aware tropico 4 was a minigame in which case I'm sorry. If you think this is really about you then let me clarify that this isn't directed at you but at something that's been going on in the background you and a handful of a few may not have known about. The users I'm talking about know who they are and where they stand.
