Well, I know the two vids I watched (castle crashers) the audio disappeared and it was just a silent video. Also I, personally, tend to like game videos with either commentary or the live dialog. The recording quality and everything seems great.

Sorry, I hope I didn't sound too negative. Like I said, the actual recordings are done really well! It is hard to just listen to silence while watching footage though. I watched a couple other vids you uploaded with a webcam in the corner and it was a much better experience even though I only speak english.

No seriously, create controversy. Make Vs videos, maybe "Steam Vs Origin" and stuff like that where you'll claim outrages things in a weird voice with a silly background animation and people will not be able to resist to post a comment where they'll tell you how terrible you are, then they'll subscribe to see what awful thing you'll post next so they can downvote it again. I still get comments telling me I'm retarded for a video I posted back when I was in college 10+ years ago. That video alone has 397,171 views and over 3000 comments.

I'd also suggest "what's the right way to position toilet paper roll", "only idiots use apple", "for and against smoking", and all the other topics you usually wouldn't touch with a ten feet pole. Each and every is set to attract many weirdos to argue about stupid things while you receive your monthly paycheck from Google.

You should make a website "The secret to getting rich on the internet: how I went from a minimum wage job to 20k+ a year making videos".

You want to monetize that .... uh... good luck with it .
I assume in 4-5 years you may gain about 10k views with the rate things are going
Alternatively get a job and dont chase dreams that wont come true :)
I dont wana be rude , im just being frank ...

Let me put it that way , your content is bad .
Your video quality is bad , the face came you have put is not even shooting your face ... your sound quality is abysmal .
IF you really want to work towards making a real youtube channel and not just hope to cash out few $ every now and then from ppl who missclick your videos , you need to improve ... on pretty much everything you are doing .

im far from being negative tbh ... im just stating facts ... his content is bad ... i did skim trough several of his videos before making my comment . And thats why i just told him its a waste of time .
Also thanks for blacklisting me for having different opinion then you ... pretty mature >.>
Comment has been collapsed.
its not a waste of time though if he enjoys making the videos. maybe its his dream to be a successful you tuber i dont know. but everyone has to start somewhere, and youre basically telling him to give up. its not exactly positive and honesty i find it quite rude.

Also i missed your 2nd comment. I dont have a problem with that actually giving some feedback and helping him get on the right track, that is all good :) its just discouraging someone from doing something they love or really want to do bugs me a lot :/
Comment has been collapsed.
Im not trying to discourage him , im just giving him a real feedback , what he can expect a lot in the future .
The world is not Unicorns and Rainbows ... people stumble upon a lot of negative stuff towards their goal .
And me , im the kind of guy who will tell you straight in the face if something is bad .
I know that make me kind of a dick , but i rather be that guy , than just be the happy go lucky kind of person and just praise everyone and wish them all the best regardless of my actual opinion on the matter .
If he can swallow all the negativity and keep pushing towards his goal , he may be able to achieve something with his so called dream .
You know , i still have that dream to move to Japan and have a Small Dagashi shop . ... People shat on it , yet i still think it would make my life worthwhile if i actually somehow manage to acomplish that ridiculous goal of mine :)
So yeah im sorry if you got offended , or if he did , by my dick'ish attitude ... i have been called out on it lots of times ... but thats me .
I rather say what i think and let people decide what they make out of my comments , rather then being the overly positive type of guy and just praising stuff i dont find praise worthy :)

I hope you get to achieve that dream one day. My dream is to move from Australia to Canada to live there for a few years. I did see that feedback in your other comment and thats fine. Its why i removed the BL. Maybe it would have helped to add that to the original comment so it was clearer you were trying to help i dont know :)
And no it doesnt make you a dick for telling it how it is. I actually like people that do that. I mean you can still be supportive of someones dream or whatever they do and be critical and give them your advice on how they can improve.
We all see the world differently i guess. Ive never really achieved any on my own dreams sadly but i find joy in seeing others reach theirs.

Make a walkthrough for a puzzle game. I'm at 8k and climbing myself due to my Slayaway guide that I haven't finished ;_;

Yes, this. I made a short gameplay video for a puzzle platformer years ago.
A few months ago some guy commented something along the lines of "Finally passed level 14, thank you"

Post a topical video based on your region. Whether it be about war, drugs, or a celebrity. Try to make a trending topic video before the topic actually becomes trending. Basically a FIRST! video, but give it a clickbaity title Also, advertise everywhere it's allowed. You might get a lot of dislikes, but you'll get the views that you want.
Also, if it isn't copyrighted, use "Let's Play" on almost every title, or a variance of it.

Yeah, also tags. If you make a video that has no tags.. literally nobody will find it unless they search your name.
game name, game studio, steam, lets play, walkthrough, main character name, blah blah add all that in the tags. So if someone searches for a walk through of X game, you'll be the 8th result or so. Not great, but better than no result.

rip Completely forgot about tags. Put whatever you want in tags. Add nonsensical words, phrases, random keystrokes, or even popular phrases in the gaming community. Put whatever in the tags that will help you gain views. You do what it takes to survive. Also, make reviews for the Steam games you play and leave your YouTube video playlist in the review. You'll then pick up the Steam viewers along with YouTube viewers. Also, put your channel link on your profile. Every bit of advertising helps.

I'd say pick a language too.
I don't know where you're from.. hebrew(google translate)? And I don't know how hebrew speakers feel. They may be ok with this if they also speak english.
But I do know that most English speakers do not want to watch or listen to a video that has half of the commentary in another language.
So I'd suggest going either way, but 100%.
I'd also look into a voice compressor for your mic during recording, maybe all input if you're having other people on voice chat during the stream or recording.

It may be too much work, but he could make English subtitles or get somebody else to subtitle it in English. Then it's in his original language, yet a primarily English speaker would be able to enjoy the video as well. It's a lot of work, but it can be really helpful once you start to rake in a normal base of 250 or so people.

A mate pulled 100k views with a video of a nuke going off in Fallout 4. We came to talk about it as that apparently had made him ~40 bucks. From that moment on i spent the whole evening lamenting how i don´t want to live on this planet anymore. And that opinion has´nt changed :E

I only have 14k views, but personally, I wouldnt worry about monetizing your channel yet. Unless youre already pulling in decent views, the revenue isnt worth it.
Other than that, Id focus on improving your videos. You have some missing audio (I think its just Castle Crashers. Thats all I noticed and someone else pointed it out already), missing tags/generic tags, and you could use better lighting and cam position if youre going to be using a face cam. Getting a better mic or doing something to get better audio quality would be great too. Basically, before you upload, re-watch your video and ask yourself if its a video that youd actually watch, and what you can do to improve it.
Also Id recommend picking a language and building around that. Like either type and do videos entirely in english or your native language (Im not sure what it is sorry).

Your videos need better Names. Things like "Gmod is really funny!", "Heavy weapons guy" or "Lets chop that tree!!" will not be found by anyone.
It's also not about quantity but quality. In the last 24h you uploaded 4 videos. 2 good videos a week would me more than enough but with good content. There are a loooot of reviewers, let's players and stuff like that on youtube. Why should users watch your videos?
