Auto join scripts for your browser - is it legal here?

Hi guys, last time I got temporarily banned for 24h because website told me I have probably some scripts on my browser(after when I deleted everything from my browser I got unbaned). I did read about scripts for steamgifts a lot and there are scripts which can auto join your favourite giveways from whishlist always when you run your browser.

Is it legal to using these kind of things? I am asking because first time I see some kind of problem like this here and I am not sure what can I do or can't do. I am asking you too because many my friends are using these kind of stuff here and they never was banned for it, somebody can tell me how it looks?

No, it is against the ToS.

It has always been, only it wasn't enforced until now.

It's against the rules here. It's better to NOT use it, or else enjoy being banned.
