The bug is not in the fact that query params doesn't work. It works, I can see exactly what is requested. The bug that it breaks pagination.

Put more simply, bugs are errors in the intended usage of [the site], or which interfere with the intended usage of [the site]. This is not related to, and has no effect upon the intended usage of the site- as such, it isn't a bug and it's hard to understand there being any need for priority for it.

If the OP were to stop referring to it as a bug, and instead rephrase it to them requesting further foolproofing/streamlining of the search interface, I imagine they'd get a lot less criticism in the feedback they receive.

I think dev should autocorrect url as you think.
Dev should not show possible bugs in any pages.
