Maybe you used an "image to html" converter? clicky
I've seem some cool converts "back in the days", some let you export as html table, with some you can specify ascii characters for the "hue" of the image.
If you've found a converter that outputs what you want, but you don't have the "grid" you can still edit the html source and set the width to 1 ;)

I used a tool called "Rasterizer" or similar many moons ago... used it both as online service or as downloadable .Net or Java executable.

I was going through some really old files on my computer and came across something I remember doing, but can't remember how!
In short, I converted this picture of Che Guevara into this. I'm not sure whether I used a program* or did it through a website.
Does anyone know what this process is called? I've tried searching with pixels and ASCII but not coming up with anything.
A small giveaway will be made for those who can come up with the best answers.
