For those following my old thread part 1 I finally got it working turns out the text on the front panel connectors need to face inwards -.- and despite spilling water in it (i know facepalm) afterwards it still works :D

But now I have windows installed from another pc but on start up doesnt recognise the hdd to boot from so I enter bios to set the boot device but the bios either freezes or gives me an incorrect bin file message, any ideas?

You are gonna need the windows install cd again. Just put it in and when booting select "repair existing windows installation". It will take care of adding the necessary changes to your bootloader so that Windows starts without issue next time.

It doesn't matter if it's legit or not, as long as you have a boot cd. If the partition is empty, only OS, best thing you can do is reinstall it with a Windows Install CD. Your choice if legit or not. There are many bootable versions in torrent search engines such as kat or fenopy. You will only need a working computer with a DVD burner and a blank DVD.

Hahaha, making it harder ^^. No DVD makes it harder, but you can make a bootable USB drive with any pen over 4Gb that you have around. Google is your friend or try WintoFlash.

Remove your bios battery, start the computer.Wait for a few mins then close computer and attach your bios battery again. This way settings will be fixed, you should be able to set any bios setting you want.
