Taxes are higher here in the UK. Cheaper in the US. Only thing i can think of.

Publishers/Devs can set their own prices for each Steam region, if they so wish.
If they don't set their own regional prices, Valve will set the price, which results in $=€ prices.

I thought there was some kind of a law preventing publishers from changing the price, hence the games cost say 20usd/20eu, but some games actually have equal prices.
