Comment Notifications in Steam?

IS it just me, or is steam now giving you notifications of people commenting on the profiles of people you're friends with? Or have I just been really dumb and have not noticed. I'm pretty sure the notification only popped up today, despite the fact the comment was made on the 11th...

I think thats an improvement....but not that kind that we would need to improve the whole community feature.

I believe it only does it if you sent a comment to that friend. It's doing it for a couple of weeks already

yeah been used to it for the past few weeks, been subs in steam beta, and it just went live today/couple of hours ago.
