This game looks very strange, and I'm not at all familiar with the people behind it (SWERY?), but it appealed to me for some reason, so I decided to back it. Thought I would share in case anyone else might be interested.

(I've never heard of a "debt repayment daily life RPG" but that's apparently what they're calling it).

EDIT: I can't bring myself to open another new thread -- who am I, BHTrellis? -- so I'm going to just mention this here:

The Long Dark is on sale until April 9th!

The Good Life?

Looks good! I'm backing the Kickstarter
Looks terrible! I wouldn't pay $1 for this trash
Meh, looks okay, I might check it out when it's part of a Humble Bundle in 2020

Funny coincidence. I checked that campaign just yesterday after being surprised not to find it on Steam so I can wishlist it. Apparently they added the possibility to be a dog overnight since the last time I saw it and not just a cat.
SWERY is the guy behind Deadly Premonition.

Regarding the poll: I think it looks very cute but I don't do Kickstarter. If it was on FIG maybe.

It was on FIG, but they failed :(

That's too bad. I'm no expert on neither of those Crowdfunding platforms but the concept of FIG feels a lot fairer to backers to me than Kickstarter.

Sadly the Kickstarter campaign hasn't even met their goal half way yet neither but there's still almost a month left so maybe there's still hope.

But Kickstarter is more popular then Fig, I think.

And also now they want $635k instead of $1.5kk, so the chances for success are high.

so the chances for success are high.

That makes sense. They already had even 50 grand more than their current goal on FIG so hopefully most of the backers from then or new interested people find out about the new campaign.

Totally unrelated but I can't bring myself to open a new thread...

Looks really good to me. Well, you can experience debt repayment RPG with Recettear, but from what I see, the game is not really centered around debt repayment. Looks like it's more focused on discovery and choice matter in an open world.

The screenshots remind me of Last Day of June a little bit. The game sounds really quirky in a good way, so I hope it will make its way to the Steam store.

I don't know, 36% funded right now, with 28 days left. Plus it was featured by Kickstarter as a "project they love."

I think it has a pretty good chance.

Oh, yeah, I saw some stuff on this game a while ago.

Wouldn't back it, just because everything about it is.... weird, but I'm sure other people might dig it.

I backed this a few days ago and hopefully it makes it's goal. It should just make it at the current pace, but I'm a bit surprised SWERY is not as big of a draw as I thought he would be.

SWERY apparently did a Let's Play for the latest build of the game:

This actually managed to get funded! It was not looking good for a while there. I'm pleasantly surprised.

It didn't make it on fig.
Looks like it is going better on kickstarter.
