What do you mean by "notified"? Are you saying that you want an email when there is a giveaway for a game that you want?

my Post from this recent thread:
[quote]
i recently just thought the same
i too would like to mark or highlight or simply add a game to a new list ("watchlist" maybe?) that is purely on SG.
why dont you just use your wishlist?
i dont want to add every game im mildly interested in to my wishlist. i like to add mostly games that i really really like to have to that list
but doesnt that just mean that you dont really want to play them?
no, for example: i like to play HOGs, but there are many and i dont want to add them all to my wishlist on steam. or any other small or short games that dont seem like much. just because i dont add them to the list, doesnt mean i wont play them. i just dont want to clutter my wishlist too much and rather keep it small.
im sure there is an extension/script for it
im sure there is but that doesnt work on phone. and if it does then it wont sync phone and PC. i would rather want it to be a functionalitly of SG and be independent from any scripts
EDIT
why dont you just hide everything that you dont want?
its actually a lot more time consuming and tedious to look at every game and decide weather you want to hide it or not. especially since there are more games that i would never play than those i would play. i know some ppl do exactly this, but im often not sure yet if i would never like to play a game or not, sometimes i havent tried that genre yet and sometimes i came to play a game even though i didnt originally think i would like it and i was really into it in the end. so i dont wanna close my options.

I actually just hide all the games I have no interest in. I used to not bother hiding many since there weren't many trash games on mac. Now there are lots of them popping up. You don't have to take time to start adding them in one go. If you check games before you enter for them, you just click on the eye if it's not for you. Over time, you'll have 1000s on there without realising it.
Unless of course you just enter everything that looks mildly interesting without checking it on Steam first.

no i dont enter everything, nowadays most of the time i dont even get under 300 points as there is not much interesting me.
like i said, i sometimes i dont know if its a game i might like or not. also its not like i dont use the hide option at all but i only check out games that somehow caught my eye and then i decide if i want to hide it or not (though not really consequently) but first a game needs to catch my eye for me to check it out in the first place.
and... its not like i dont know this "solution" exists, but it would simply be a lot easier to just add interesting games to a watchlist than going through all those many games and hide them.
i mean if it was implemented you had the choice or rather you could use both methods parallelly. win-win for everyone.
btw... why is this community so eager to bash/call out on pretty much every suggestion someone makes? i dont mean you specifically and it didnt happen here much but it does often happen to most suggestions
even if its not necessary or there is a work around that doesnt mean it wouldnt be a nice to have.
most ppl say there are more important things cg can/should focus or doesnt have the time, but the image viewer on giveaways isnt necessary either but it got implemented. its nice to have and i like it. maybe those "bigger" things are hard to solve and some suggestions would be "easy" or even more fun to work on and to implement?

Lately, I've been using a separate tab with a Search of the main GA page to find the games I'm hot to win.
It's been really handy to search for "Talisman" instead of entering those 50+ items into my wishlist.
It's also handy to search for "Sid Meier" for that whole family of games.
Currently I'm juggling 4 different searches, sometimes with 4 different tabs, sometimes re-entering the terms when I prefer to keep it to one tab.
So my version of the OP's request would be if there was a way to use "OR" in the search field. It would be nice to be able to put 5 or even 10 different search terms into one search. For example, mine would be... LEGO or Batman or 'Sid Meier' or Talisman or 'Tomb Raider' or Creed or Witcher. As far as I can tell, the current search, which already has some really nice options, doesn't take multiple search terms.

Please add the ability to make a watchlist of games to list & be notified of any giveaways for them.
