Using SAM for steam trading card will get you suspended?

or even searching the forums here for the exact same thing?

I still don't know if that can take you banned or not,that's all.There is nothing really interesting there,just a bunch of people who say yes and others who say no

if you let SAM open steam will tell you are currently playing the game you have and you have opened in SAM :P

If you open a game's window in SAM, Steam thinks you're in game.

If i use SAM i get the cards faster? i will probably check it out,i don't wanna install red orchestra 2 when i know the game won't work on my pc :/

Well, I actually don't care! Cheating will never stop :-)

Say you're a programmer. You find a way to automate the carding process. It gives users like me a kick if it'll work. I don't care if its cheating or not. It just gives an awesome feeling! 8)

I don't care about the cards, It's just people who will unlock achievements they didn't really earn.

You can do that. I tried it myself.

I still find the software distasteful, as cheating for achievements is ****ing lazy and stupid, as I see them as only to show off when you achieve a difficult goal.

However, MDuh pointed out it allows you to go ingame with titles you haven't downloaded at the time, so that could be useful, even though I see it as pointless as cards are bloody near worthless.

SAM fools Steam into thinking you are in a game. And being in a game is what gives you cards.

There's no way for anyone at steam to know whether you're accumulating game time by running the game legitimately or by using SAM.

You can get VAC banned only if you play game on VAC server. So no problem if you idling or doing achievments without being in game.

Even if you will run a game you don't own you won't get any cards because you won't have any card drops. To get card drops you have to own the game.
