Quote from FAQ:
"Giveaways for bundle games created after the bundle date will always receive 15% of their value. For example, if you gift 2 copies of a $20 bundle game, you would receive $6 (3 + 3) in value towards your level. Keep in mind that changes to the list of bundle games will apply retroactively, so if a bundle begins today, attempting to gift the game before it's added to the list will offer no advantage. Games may also be added to the bundle list if they're available for free during a promotion, or if they're highly discounted in a sale."

"Keep in mind that changes to the list of bundle games will apply retroactively, so..."

What exactly does this mean?
If I made a giveaway for Don't Starve Together, which is not currently on the bundle game list, send it, get feedback, then 1 year later it is added to the bundle list, will my CV be reduced?
It should not, and if I understand the FAQ correctly, it doesn't, but please confirm.

What game should i gift?

View Results
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Spec Ops: The Line
RPG Tycoon
Don't Starve Together
Super Meat Boy
Shadowrun Returns
FORCED: Slightly Better Edition

only if it was in a bundle before now.
games bundled after your giveaway will still give you the full CV

things on the bundle list are retroactive only to the date of their original bundling.

Giveaway1 date march 21st
game is bundled march 23rd
giveaway2 date march 24th

date game is added to the bundle list june 6th
Giveaway1 gets full value, giveaway 2 gets reduced value

That is not true at all. You will still receive the full CV for a game you gave away before it was bundled.

Example: I gave away The Darkness II before it was bundled and here it shows that 30$ is credited for it, not the bundle percentage.

sometimes games are added to the bundle list with a delay, so it's not 100% reliable. the best way is to manually check prices in all regions and see if they are under 5% of the US price.

use enhanced steam, it helps a lot.

It applies to all games retroactively if there was a reduction in price, but it only applies to bunde games which were bundled before the giveaway started.

example:
Chivalry: Complete Pack got bundled on june 16th (2015) but it didnt appeard on the list here on steamgift as bundled game.
person a has made a giveaway before 16th june
and person b has made it on 16th june

due to the fact, that it wasnt on the list, both got full value for the game. but few days ago (was ist yesterday? dont know) it got retroactive bundled with june 16th. so the person a didnt got affected of it and didnt drop in his lvl. but person b will lose cv and maybe drop in lvl.
this is made to prevent people raising their lvl with bundles very cheap^^
but if you make a ga before a game get realy bundled (and i dont mean to get listed here as bundled), you will not hurt for it, if it get later bundled^^

To clarify all this "if it gets bundled"-replies, that does mean that any game that gets a high discount in steam counts as bundled if it´s discount in ANY region/currency is more than 95% vs $....practically that means discounts of 85%-90% or more....but this could change over time to even discounts like 75%. Just check on a daily base every game in every region :P

Voted SMB. I have it already but it is a good game. :-)
If you do a GA before it has been bundled somewhere (or dropped below 5% of US full price) then it will be bundled on Steamgifts too.
If I got it right only one guy works on that list, so it takes some time to update the bundled games on Steamgifts. It will count retroactively to the date the game has been bundled the first time.
If you made your GA before, it won't be affected.

First check if it is already in bundle list: http://www.steamgifts.com/bundle-games.
Then simply use http://isthereanydeal.com/ since all checking is based on that.

Find the game you want to gift like:
https://isthereanydeal.com/#/search:Shadowrun%20Returns;/scroll:%23gamelist
Choose correct one: (this page shows if a game is bundled or not)
https://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/info?plain=shadowrunreturnsdeluxe
Then check "Price History" (uncheck all but Steam)
https://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/price?plain=shadowrunreturnsdeluxe

Results show that it is "never" been bundled before but seen a 90% discount in Steam Store. This causes a dilemma since if any game sees a 90% discount on Steam Store, it might be interpreted as it had seen 95% discount since regional price discounts in Russia cause it so. If that's the case it is a "time bomb" gift which will be retroactively added to bundle list causing full cv >> 15% cv.

TL:DR; check http://isthereanydeal.com/ to make sure it is never bundled before or has seen 90% discount on Steam Store to be sure of getting proper cv.

Thanks for good answers.

Also, my CV just dropped from 2.21 to 1.99.
How is such a big loss in CV even possible?
According to sgtools.info, none of the games I have gifted went from green to red.
If only people who get their CV reduced got some kind of message showing the calculation used to reduce it

Well, well, http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/AgaS4/dont-starve-together

Also, your CV for games will drop as the base price for the games drop on Steam. Keep in mind I'm talking about the regular price of the game, not any sale price.

For example: Game X is $30 (and 30 CV) when you give it away, and 6 months later, the base price of the game drops to $20 on Steam. Your CV for that game will now be 20 instead of 30.

In your case, I think it's Takedown Red Sabre that dropped in price. It looks like it used to be $15 at one point and now it's $5.
