I can confirm this... Tried it today and didn't work for me either. I'm kinda happy haven't bought it yet.

It's not a matter of effort, but resources and knowledge.
Your problem is also something that not everyone suffers from, most people have no issues getting it to work as people in the comments here will tell you :D

I have played this game with absolutely no problems. Good coop slasher

as good and funny as the game is the net code is horrible , we played 4 player co-op once almost a year ago and game crashed so many times . i doubt its something that can be optimized or fixed , the game is being overcooked with more content than it can handle

I,with my friends,had severe problems with online coop,and suffered a crash every chapter.We used VPN and we even used a public ip with forwarded ports to no avail.Only thing to do: play on LAN if you can.But even on lan we had some problems too,like somebody getting stuck,and other bugs.Too bad,as it was a pretty damn funny game

Myself and my friend played together over the internet, didn't use a VPN or anything and it worked just fine.

For anyone that got stuck where I am, you apparently have to Shift+click the rope to get through that first part after you fall.
Why they didn't tell you that? I'll never know.

Multiplayer works fine. Played it many times. Part of the fun of the game is due to the insanity multiple players causes. Servers might just be getting hammered from free weekend.

It sucks if you suck, really. I would know, first time I tried it I wasn't paying attention.

You can even skip the tutorial. BANANA.

Have it, played it, enjoyed it. All with no problems at all, except for the fact that it takes awhile to connect with someone from around the world. Which is a problem for most games anyways.

multiplayer works..only that all the servers have passwords. i guessed once the pass and i killed every one( in 3 min server closed)

I didn't have any problems. MP and singleplayer work perfect.

I had some serious problems today trying to connect with a friend. SP is great though!
