Tomb Raider sold way less than Square Enix expected. They were complaining about that. So they decide to cut out PS4 and PC, leaving only the third place Xbone to sell copies on for the next game.
How much money did Microsoft pay to get this exclusivity ?

Good article showing the moronic aspects of this deal.

I was shocked when I heard this, and I actually OWN an Xbox One! I've been a long time fan of the series, but I think it's pretty disrespectful to pull a move like this. There has never been an Tomb Raider game NOT on the Playstation system until now.
Going online to their facebook page, it's on fire with thousands of people raging hard over it, and I don't blame them one bit. I know if I only had a gaming PC or a PS4 and heard this news, I would be up in arms over this call. The thing that I don't get, the Tomb Raider reboot sold so much better on Sony's console and the PC over the Xbox consoles, then they pull this. After Crystal/SquareEnix complained they didn't make enough money off the Tomb Raider reboot, they turn around and announce the sequel will be exclusively on the Xbox One, just don't get it.
My only thoughts, Microsoft tossed a buttload of cash their way and is calling it, "Exclusive" but it'll turn out just to be a timed exclusive.
