So i post this here because for many Indiegala is a source of keys / gift cards and games.

I read 5 from the 20 sites....

Different people wrote really strange/crazy comments ("I will destroy your career" and such ones -if i were the dev i would delete such comments and ban such users-).
Sounds if they loosed millions and if the dev spit in there face and say "i have your money suck my...".

In my eyes he reacted to the writers, explained the situation, said he will replace keys.
Sure not a great situation but it look as it will be handled in the right direction.

I buy since around 1-2 year(s) nearly nothing at IG and before only from time to time.
The quality get low, good bundles very rare and i don't need each game that i don't own (Collector or not) ;o)

this is half of the reason why i dont buy from indiegala, the other half is that the games are disposable garbage
it's a never ending cycle, these "devs" aren't met with any other choice other than revoking the keys
punishing buyers only decreases the trust they have on indie developers. Im doing my part by not purchasing games from dubious stores like indiegala and DIG. But as you can see IG is still selling and taking no responsibility for it.

EDIT: i actually gave copies of this game away years ago, and im not supporting the dev by replacing said keys. If anyone got their key revoked feel free to change it to "not received"

Omg, where's the TL;DR? I'm not going through 291 comments.

I think Indiegala is still legit but we all know they operate on a low budget level and devs might be disappointed with their poor profits.

and devs might be disappointed with their poor profits.

This. If devs would stop and consider they're only going to make pennies on the dollar in bundles, a lot of this could be avoided.

I feel like every one of these situations involving Indie Gala is one of a few things.

  1. miscommunication / language barrier about deal terms and payment schedule
  2. unrealistic expectations about profit levels
  3. a 'publisher' with access to key lists making a 'deal' without the 'dev' involved

EDIT: In this case, it does sound like something fishy happened.
He claims he deactivated only the keys that IG reported as unsold in the bundle. Which apparently includes keys sold on HRK, which he claims to have no relationship with and not know of.
If the dev statements are accurate, then someone leaked his keys and he probably didn't do anything wrong.
After Page 4 though, the thread degenerates into him being indignant at all the people calling him names, and accuses them of being in league with the scammers.
You should be able to get his full story from the first four pages of the thread.
This post is probably the best TL;DR.

Or perhaps the UI for developers to deactivate/revoke keys need to be reworked. If we trust the developer's intention to deactivate unsold keys, then the UI for deactivate/revoke key is horribly confusing. This is not the first developer who claimed to deactivate unsold keys but revoked all keys in a batch instead.

P.S. And devs are really clueless about how keys get to 3rd party sites - those sellers are simply customers of IG who bought tons of bundles for resell.

Yeah, we don't know what actually happened.

If those keys were bought from IG in the bundle, and IG correctly reported them sold in the bundle, then ideally they wouldn't have got cancelled. Only the 7700 unsold keys were deactivated, purportedly.

EDIT again: The IndieGala statement says they bought ALL the rest of the keys from the Publisher they made the deal with. In that case, there wouldn't have been any unsold keys to deactivate. Now I'm more inclined to think this "cancer-ridden, chemo-ridden, frail health developer" got confused or mis-remembered the deal. :(

P.P.S. And yes, the Steam key developer UI probably needs to be made more user-friendly.
Also, I wonder how many non-English languages it's available in; and how well translated.

This post by the dev sums up his side of the story: https://i.imgur.com/Ifqy7DS.png

He also said that if anyone got a key revoked they can contact him for a new key.

There's also IG's statement about this to take into account.
https://forums.indiegala.com/threads/game-from-bundle-removed-from-my-steam-account.2296/
Although we may never find out what's really going on behind the scenes, I'm more inclined to trust IG than some random trash-game dev.

Man, I can't even imagine a world where my key for "Pit Blocks 3D" got revoked.

How would I fill my time if I couldn't play "Pit Blocks 3D"?!
