Don´t, I repeat DON´T go to the gym. I don´t care what everyone says, if you wan to become physically active, look for some sport to do. I recently got into Jiu-Jitsu and I´ven been enjoying it much more than going to the gym.
And btw, you don´t wanna become one of these self-entitled fitness and health experts, those guys are just right dicks
