It requires an extending "notification" service. We don't even have user-to-user message service yet. It's too much work, too much load to servers and costs too much. Have I used too much enough ? Perhaps I used it too much.

A way to mark topics as favorites might be a simpler alternative. No notifications on new posts - just another category on the sidebar where you can view favorites. Maybe there's already a way to do this with one of the scripts floating around...

My idea is simple and can be useful. A Subscibe Button on Every topic, when subbed-in you keep receiving notifications of evey new comment like the OP. It can be very useful in some threads like when the first G2A Deal came out, users were reporting some news. Or the Summer Sale Glitched Prices ! And so on...
also with this "Subscribe" Button, Please include an "Unsubscribe" button
